Waiting on Cycleart to install decals and clearcoat… fork goes to powdercoating tomorrow.

The idea was to restore it back to the condition of a 1995 model. Managed to score all the parts except rims. Arayas are a good stand in for the Sun rims that came stock and I went with 3x front and rear lacing because I’m really not into radial lacing on any rim under 40mm anymore.

Obviously the show itself is the main event but there are other things popping up…

Friday:
7pm: PARTY at Carytown Bikes. Much eating, drinking, and hanging with the dudes from Niner, Cinelli, Chris King, Rapha and more… CBC is going to raffle off a Cinelli Superpista!

Saturday:
Afternoon: Hand built alleycat? Someone get me details.
2pm: Tricktrack / Richmondfixed trickjam. Rinthal and co from Tricktrack are meeting up at Abner Clay Park (Brook and West Clay St.) Action starts at 3pm
10pm: Death Pedal 2 world premier! at the Kazane party… 1717 Summit Ave.

Sunday: 7am. Rapha Gentlemen’s Ride!

Rapha Gentlemen’s Ride

Richmond Marriott, 500 East Broad Street
We cannot come all that way to talk about riding without riding ourselves. Sunday morning, February 28th, you are invited to join a group of Rapha Continental riders, builders and partners for an easy Gentlemen’s Ride before the show opens. With help from the nice gents at Carytown Bicycle Company, we’ve planned a lovely 20-mile loop through the hills of Richmond.

We will depart from the show hotel (Richmond Marriott – 500 East Broad Street) at 7:30am. Meet us at 7:00am for coffee and pastries.
